With the release of their ninth album Watershed imminent, metal survivors Opeth will touch down on our shores in September.
The Swedish juggernaut’s last tour in 2006 was a sell-out, coming after the rapturously received Ghost Reveries album. This visit will no doubt incite the same level of ardour, given the three year hiatus between releases. Watershed was produced by veterans Åkerfeldt and Jens Bogren, and promises to be classic, hard-hitting Opeth.
A sellout crowd of black clothing, piercings and long hair saw a killer performance by Opeth, who were supported by our local talent Virgin Black.
