Hailing from New Zealand’s deep, dark south, the rawkish post-hardcore punk band Die!Die!Die! have long made it their mission to not only deliver enigmatic, blistering tracks on searing releases, but to bring their brutal live show to as many towns as they can, as often as possible.
Due to bring their brand new record Promises Promises to an eager east coast of Australia this April – off the back of a recent jaunt to SXSW, where they’ll be playing a number of highly anticipated showcases, and breakneck tours of the USA and UK – the group are set to keep this reputation intact.
Having previously worked with the legendary Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Shellac) in Chicago and Dale Cotton (HDU, Dimmer) on their brilliant Locust Weeks and eponymous EPs, Promises Promises, saw them in the studio with NZ’s Shayne Carter (Dimmer, Straitjacket Fits main-man).
Revisiting their brawling, infectiously abrasive sound, Promises Promises and its pummelling, primal rhythms and shard-like guitar work looks set to enhance the act’s well earned misfit-savant reputation.
