The only possibilities I can think at this stage are Crystal Castles, Best Coast and M.I.A. unless they are already playing other festivals or headline shows at the time of Splendour.
MAY: THE RUBENS
JUL: PASSION PIT
AUG: JAPANDROIDS

Can't think beyond acts that toured in the last 4 weeks, eh?

It just comes back to the basic rule you were taught in kindergarten to sound out your words. This uneducated generation is fucked.

Also, maybe Placebo for Splendour?

Putting in requests for Major Lazer, Disclosure and Azealia Banks. Actually how about all the good acts from the future line up to save me from going... cocoon heroes in the tipi forrest?

And obv. Blur, The Knife, Röyksopp etc.

Merci
Gig Guide and Possibilities:
June: 6: Earlwolf, 18: Chris Tucker

Night 1: Arctic Monkeys
Night 2: Phoenix
Night 3: not sure! The Strokes seem to be the most popular choice. but Blur seem a possibility and i would love to see Atoms for Peace.

I'd be happy with any band that played Harvest 2011. Namely The National, Bright Eyes & TVOTR

Highly doubt that it'll be another weekend other than the end of July when Splendour was focusing on expanding it's relationship with Fuji Rock more and more over the next few years.

Sounds like 1pm hungover at the mainstage in the heat at Splendour. That'll do

Wouldn't hurt the guitarist to learn a few more notes

Just randomly Googling Splendour this morning, and came across this site that says Splendour this year is going to be from Monday 29 July to Wednesday 31 July. Has this been officially confirmed anywhere? A non-weekend Splendour doesn't sound right. And if it is, booooo.

May- Tegan and Sara // Groovin' The Moo // The Rubens / Walk The Moon (x2) // Millions / San Cisco
June- Owl Eyes
July- Splendour In The Grass
August- Japandroids
September- Poison City Weekender // Foals

A Monday to Wednesday time would be one of the most retarded festival moves in large music festival history.

I absolutely agree. Just wondering why in the hell they would post Splendour being on those dates.

Blur have shows in Italy on 28th and 29th July, this makes me very sad.

James Blake has a sizeable gap in his schedule around splendour time. Could be a decent bet imo.

So, after laneway Adelaide, when Alt-J were doing Karaoke at one of the bars, they were saying that they planned to be here for splendour. Not technically a confirmation but the words from the horses mouth.
Plus anything that was exclusive to Laneway, so Japandroids, I would think likely too.
And Arcade Fire I think would be likely for Harvest more so.

I would think Haim and Grimes to have a chance. Surely Haim will be here soon and splendour are most likely to do it. Jake Bugg too.
Cold War Kids maybe.

I do have to say that these speculations being made on this forum are keeping my hopes alive for a good lineup, more so than any of the other speculations that have been made so far.

As for headliners, the ones mentioned already seem possible. Phoenix are being thrown around as headliners of everything else lately, so why not, though are they headline sized here? Really haven't a clue yet.
