Saw the new line-up with Matchbox 20 a few weeks ago. It was cheesy as all get out, but the new singer was the best they'd had post-Hutchence by a country mile.

An update from music writer Cameron Adams on Twitter:

"INXS confusion grows. Now reports saying Kirk Pengilly has told a Sydney radio station they have NOT broken up. Manager not returning calls."

"Ended their career playing support to Matchbox Twenty" ...hmmm, not the most dignified of conclusions for a band that's been around for 35 freakin' years. Mind, if they had've kept going for another ten years they probably would have ended up opening for Shannon Knoll at a bingo hall.

INXS existing or not existing really isn't relevant enough to concern anyone these days. Same deal with The Angels, keep on trucking while you can squeeze out a dollar and free meal on the RSL circuit.
