Cool band. Asa's super talented and did some great stuff with his bro Jorma for Lonely Island.

Ahead of the announcement tomorrow, our Inside Source has confirmed that ATDI will be on the bill, along with The Smashing Pumpkins, The Shins, Bloc Party and a few other bands from our, your parents and/or older brother's record collection. Lana Del Ray, Matt Corby and The Temper Trap are probably playing too, just so Everyone can easily see how much better music used to be "back in my day".

Nothing quite like the ol' anonymous source!

Exactly. That's why I used apparently 'confirmed' very loosely.

So glad we'll actually have the lineup tomorrow, too many supposed leaks and rumours are just setting people up for disappointment.

There is nothing 'back in the day' about The Smashing Pumpkins these days.

A Smashing Pumpkins tour next year for the 20th anniversary of Siamese Dream could be good even if it is just Corgan and some kids.

I can't imagine a Splendour appearance this year would be overly exciting.

Considering the crowd Jane's Addiction pulled last year this I can't imagine them booking another past use by date rock act to headline.

1 Smashing Pumpkin is a whole lot better than any Jane's Addiction though
Gig Guide and Possibilities:
June: 6: Earlwolf, 18: Chris Tucker
July 25-28: Splendour in the Grass

I would love to see a whole tent going off to Bullet though. And the drummer he's got in the band right now is fucking brilliant.

But he's not Jimmy Chamberlin. He's just some weenie and I don't like him.

Yeah seen that bandied about. Also seen a claim that 360 has said he's headlining.

But with out this (presumably now deleted tweet) it's not much good.

Guess he'd be a good clash booking to split the crowd while someone decent is playing.

fuck 360 headlining, no matter how big he is in australia, he is nowhere near headline material for a festival like splendour

i am really, really, really, really hoping that the smashing pumpkins and ATDI rumors are true

360 would clearly play the Mix Up Tent.

He'd probably pack it out too.

Would love Splendour to announce 360 as the main-stage headliner. The reaction would be comedy gold!

i have nothing against 360, i like his music
but compare him against other rumored acts like bloc party, the shins and jack white
all of these acts are more likely to headline than 360

I have nothing against 360 he is just not up to standard with other better Australian acts such as The Art and Van She Tech

Or Amy Meredith or The Patience Project.

Get these five on a line up and we've got a winner.
