Bought Thor on Blu-ray. The Consultant short film is only a tiny extension on the Hulk coda.

Still enjoyed it but if you're not that keen on splashing out on a blu-ray, I'm sure it will turn up on Youtube any day now.

Chris Hemsworth... uh I mean Natalie Portman in full blu-ray clarity. Yum!

What are people's thoughts on Joel Edgerton.

He seems to be making noise in Holywood, but I've not heard anyone talk about him any any of the pictures he's in.

I mentioned The Thing a few posts ago. He was solid in that. Animal Kingdom got him a lot of attention in the states.
He is from Blacktown and he isn't on the dole, Australian success story.

watched drive, bit disapointed. it has the vibe of a late 70's early 80's film with little dialogue and hypnotic soundtrack, wich i liked, but there just wasnt enough hollywood stunt performer who moonlights as a wheelman action. if i hadnt read the plot summary you'd be hard pressed to know whats goin on. the opening sequence sets it right up, then... overall the performances are good. im just being nit picky, i liked it.

I would say that the reviews have been close to split down the middle, good and bad.
The plot is the movie equivalent of shooting fish in a barrell. Right wing fundamenalists are crazy, goverment agencies are gung-ho... It's just another vehicle for Kevin Smith's tiresome plot kiling monologues.
Kevin Smith would have to be one of the most overrated filmmakers in existence. Granted it's just my opinion, but shared by many.

He had some great movies in the 90s. Dogma was one of my favourites when I was younger. Mallrats, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back were pretty funny. His recent stuff has been rubbish though. Jersey Girl was garbage and not even going to go near Cop Out

It is shooting fish in a barrel but the perfomances are solid....especially the Pastor, maybe someone else could have tackled the subject better but I think he (Mr Smith) did just fine.

For the records sake though I will say that Jay and Silent Bob strikes back is the funniest move of all time.

Not sure if a Thing review has been given, too lazy to flick back a page. But basically it's just 2 hrs of people getting flamethrowered. Special effects were decent but the suspense sucked. 6/10

Excited for the following:

In Time. Interesting concept but could be a bit of fluff. However my man crush on JT will probably blind me to the shitness.

The Immortals. So. Fucking. Badass. It's pretty much the next 300.

i'm always sceptical when it comes to live-action manga/anime adaptations, but we can always hope.
(on the other hand, i'm still hoping live-action cowboy bebop will be cancelled, but that's another story...)

p.s. warriors, come out to play-ay!
this seems like a good thread to say i like napoleon's avatar.
