I'm thinking that no Laneway sideshows means that Japandroids are probably locked in for Splendour.

Time to begin the Splendour rumours: Big Boi touring in July 2013
It is a bit early for speculation about the bigger acts, but I do remember Blur saying they were planning on touring mid-next year, so possibly Splendour?
Also, if by some miracle Daft Punk headline Coachella/Glasto, they could possibly do a stopover here for Splendour, do Summer Sonic (or whatever the festival is in Japan around the same time), then come back for massive headline shows November/December.

Not a chance of DP playing Splendour. My money is on Future bringing them out for stand alone shows late 2013-early 2014, if they are touring at all that is..

I do remember Future saying something about having massive shows lined up for their 20th anniversary next year, so that could be a possibility.

Yeah it might be I guess, but it would appeal to a lot of people still. I would say that it would be Mumford's only Australian show after their big tour with Secret Sounds this year. And Arctics and QOTSA will have a new albums out.
Blur's a decent chance too

Maybe bands from Laneway who are doing festival-exclusive shows? Like Alt-J and Japandroids. Also acts from BDO who are just doing sideshows in Sydney; Foals, Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
