Spill the beans - what was your best moment
or if you so desire your best sideboob moment or he's a hunk moment - pics greatly increase credibility ...

Top 3 Highlights:

Miike Snow: was expecting it to good, but not that good. Great setlist, Andrew Wyatt's voice was amazing and I loved all the extended outros. Being front row was great too. Easily the best Splendour performance I have ever seen.

The Shins: played a lot of songs, I particularly love the new album so was glad it got a good showing. James Mercer's voice is just as great live as on record.

Bloc Party: Wasn't expecting to love this as much as I did. I'm not a big fan of theirs but hearing all the hits live with that crowd was amazing and the new songs sounded awesome.
July: Splendour in the Grass
August: Kav Temperley
September: Biffy Clyro x3

Gossip blew my expectations way out of the water. Trudged from Dylan that wasn't doing it for me, to Pumpkins who I watched three songs of but knew were heading to new material, then over to gossip for the majority of the set. Beth Ditto's voice was incredible and the simple old-school vibe they were creating had me jiving non-stop

Laying in bed, under 2 doonas, eating pizza while watching the live stream on 55". It was even better because I could read my book in between the boring sets/songs.
I hope this song touches you like your father does.

Jack White
Miike Snow (and dancing with Sia during)
Tame Impala

Dirty Three is up there as well.

Was a pretty awesome weekend overall. The only thing Id say against it was that there was too many triple J filler bands that didnt give much of a live performance during the daytime.

In order of appearance: Ben Howard, Jack White, Miike Snow, Bloc Party, Django Django, Gossip.

Also worth a mention; the hail storm, the Olympics after the festival each night, Ice Age 2 and afternoon power naps.

Ben Howard was perfect for that arvo

Also helped that that is when the storm struck and we were safe under cover in the middle of the tent

I didn't even notice any hail, just the rain during Big Scary/Howler/whenever it was. I was at the front of the Supertop from Kingswood until end of Jack White, save for a quick break right before Howler to get some food.

July- The Strypes - Sky Ferreira - Lily Allen
August- Queen & Adam Lambert

So you were one of those people...

We would have given you a great squash during Spiderbait. I hope you enjoyed the ram from the fans while you were camping out the front. The circle mosh got interesting. There were some massive boys running around in there. I stayed on the edge of the circle watching the mayhem.

It wasn't too bad cos we got to the barrier at the front just after Spiderbait. And my friend and I are tall so we coped much better than the tiny teeny girls that pushed to the front to see the Shins.

Rain and hail were during dz Deathrays as they had to put a tarp over the amps.

Music highlights:
The Shins
ATDI (agree with Jose's Coachella comment)
Jack White
Django Django
Metric (when the power wasn't cut out)

Non music highlights:
Going back to warm beds, hot showers, rage, olympics, Ice Age each night
Being able to walk back & forth between festival & cabin each day for breaks, drinks, other stuff
Spending the entire weekend with our FL Splendour crew
Marrying Lani
Wearing my animal onesie for 2 out of the 3 days

That's all I can think of for now!

I came away thinking definitely BoS were my highlight but the one set I can't get out of my head a few weeks later is Jack White. The way he led and interacted with his band members was phenomenal, it was like he was testing them at times but in a really playful manner. He had such a presence and charisma and I impressed with both los buzzardos and the peacocks and I am really happy we got to see a bit of both.
