Point is they're expected at Future. The Adelaide article implies that the paper had spoken to West about it an West suggested they Future had paid too much for them.

well, honestly who would have thought (besides bdofan) pulp would make their way down here? pretty sure i've said the same about a blur tour, lets hope we laugh about that in six months time too.

Didn't BDO fan also "leak" the one-off February Arcade Fire show at the Domain? (which, by the way, is still my gig of the year, how great were Les Savy Fav as support?)

45000 tickets sold out in 10 minutes, off memory. Tickets were going for ridiculous prices on eBay.

Imagine if bdofan111 and Cr1zZ took up bookkeeping and opened a betting agency together. It'd have the world craziest/most amazing odds.

Announcement:

"We've got SIGUR ROS, I love these guys. FUCK THEM AND THEIR FAMILYS if they cancel though.

Next up is SILVERSUN PICKUPS. I loved their previous performances in Australia, despite only being support slots. I know how much they've been wanting to come out to Australia as well, butif they cancel I WILL MAKE SURE THOSE DOUCHES NEVER PLAY HERE AGAIN!

*further down*

The rest of the lineup is going to be a several hip-hop acts from America. Excited that they'll all be here!"

just been reading through the last couple of pages of this thread and the Stone Roses issue stood out to me. i can't believe Future are willing to pay Stone Roses a shitload of money to play at their festival. is it just to spite Ken West and AJ? seems like a pretty expensive way of hurting the competition with fairly minimal benefit to themselves. but i guess Future made a lot of money this year so they have the ability to throw money around like this.

seems strange to me nevertheless.

Old definition of insanity: Repeating the same action over and over again and expecting a different result.

New definition of insanity: Believing anything AJ tweets about anything.

The Cure would be an amazing headliner for Harvest, but I don't know if they would get away with a 30 song set like this...
May Kraftwerk: 1-4
July (Europe) ROCK WERCHTER, Pet Shop Boys, Atoms For Peace, Scott Matthew, Depeche Mode
August Joan Baez
September Cyndi Lauper
October Melbourne Festival ?
November Harvest Festival ?

And if they only played say 15 songs too many ppl would complain about set not having enough old songs.

It's the 20th anniversary of The Cure's Wish album this year, it would be cool if they played that in full and then a few hits to finish off the set.
