Just so long as the Brisbane date isn't the 17th - I've got plans that day.

AJ was going on for a while about how much he liked Brand New, so I could see them playing.

But I only really know that song Jesus Christ, I don't know whether their other songs sound like that or not.

Because only songs with Jesus in them could make it through to your ears.

Franz would be big enough if their new album is out by then. I'd say Vampire Weekend would play a similar set time to Bright Eyes last year

Franz have never done a venue bigger than enmore from memory. Sigur Ros was selling out the Hordern I thought.

The thing I was trying to say is by the time Franz get here they won't have done a proper headline tour for 2 album cycles.

Ok here's my theory on Radiohead.

Harvest will be 10-18th of November. Which means the final date will fall on a Sunday. Last year Brisbane was the final date and was held on a Saturday. Can't see why they'd want to finish on a Saturday this year to be honest....

Unless....they are trying to fit it around Radiohead's current tour dates which are:

Fri 9, Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
Mon 12, Entertainment Centre, Sydney
Tue 13, Entertainment Centre, Sydney
Fri 16, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Sat 17, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne

Therefore if Harvest started in Brisbane this year it could start on the 10th, which Radiohead could play as it's the day after their Brisbane concert. And the Sydney Harvest date would be the 11th, the day before Radiohead's first Sydney show. Melbourne Harvest could then be the 18th, the day after their last Melbourne show.

So if we fit this into Radiohead's current tour schedule, it goes like this:

Fri 9, Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
Sat 10, Harvest Festival Brisbane
Sun 11, Harvest Festival Sydney
Mon 12, Entertainment Centre, Sydney
Tue 13, Entertainment Centre, Sydney
Fri 16, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Sat 17, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Sun 18, Harvest Festival Melbourne

Of course this is most likely not true, but it could fit if AJ has somehow pulled off this miracle.

I certainly hope it is true so those poor deprived people on the east coast get another chance to see Radiohead.
This song is for the guy who keeps yelling from the balcony, and it's called "We Hate You, Please Die".

Is it illegal to advertise shows as the band's only Australian shows and then announce extra shows?

True.

I saw them at the beginning of January so that would have been a sideshow on their Falls Festival tour.

Really don't think this is likely. They were heavily advertised as being the only shows for Radiohead.

Wishing for something like Modeselektor with a guest slot from Thom though.

Yeah if I was in one of the biggest bands in the world I wouldn't be too excited by the prospect of playing 8 shows in 10 days, either.

Radiohead would be a nice surprise but there's a few more bands on the place your bets that are much more exciting.
Only a couple more weeks until announcement!

Surely Harvest wouldn't have the money to book Radiohead.

I would be so surprised if they were announced as headliner.

I would guess the booking fee for Radiohead is close to double that of Arcade Fire.

They also didn't get Arcade Fire so maybe what they were offering wasn't enough.

Both Radiohead and Arcade Fire ask for around $1 Million a festival set give or take a little. Individual tours are different, Radiohead would charge less than their normal price as they are in the cities and they don't have to go out of their way to perform. They didn't get Arcade Fire because they didn't want to perform

I really don't understand how people are even considering Radiohead playing... It's a maaaaaaaaaaaaaad derp.

I mean, I'm really excited about the potential for this lineup, and if Sigur Ros are playing I'll be going, but seriously, c'mon people...

At least that dispels the Radiohead rumours for good.
