voting rules
- To complete a voting card, voters can select up to three festivals and need to respond to the voting confirmation email sent by fasterlouder.
- Only Festivals on the festival list are eligible to be voted for in 2008. If you believe there are other major festivals we have missed out on please e-mail us on festivalawards@staff.fasterlouder.com.au
- Only one voting form allowed per person.
- Voting opens on 9:00am Monday 1st September 2008 and closes midnight Tuesday September 30th 2008.
- Results announced Wednesday October 15th on www.fasterlouder.com.au and www.inthemix.com.au and www.samesame.com.au.
- The administrators decision on winners is final; no discourse will be entered into. The decision regarding the winners is made at the discretion of fasterlouder.com.au and is based an overall rating as a pro-rata percentage and not on total amount of votes in each category. Fasterlouder reserves the right to discount votes that appear to be fraudulent or in breech of these voting rules.
- Winners, in "the best local act", "best international act", are determined by those who receive the most number of votes, no other criteria is taken into account.
definitions
- A "music festival" is defined as a multi stage music event held between August 1st 2007 and August 4th 2008.
- A "local act" is defined as a band residing in Australia who has played on any "Music festival" between August 1st 2007 and August 4th 2008.
- An "International Act" is defined as a band residing outside Australia who has played on any "Music festival" between August 1st 2007 and August 4th 2008.
