Lilkafest Music and Camping Festival returns for 2009 to Meningie boasting some of the best South Australian talent going round at the minute. Over ten hours of live entertainment The Levitators is what fans have to look forward to. The band talks collectively about the festival experience.

What is the latest for your band? “We just recorded a new single produced by Magoo (Regurgititator, TZU, Midnight Oil) and will be releasing it to radio in the next week! We are very excited it’s a great single.”

Are you excited about playing Lilkafest? “Very excited and have an awesome sight and sound show in store!”

What is the best part of playing a festival like Lilkafest? “We are a festival band and festivals like this are great because everyone is up for it. You are out in the bush so may as well party and we play party music so it suits perfectly.”

How do you plan to celebrate/unwind after your set? “Usually talk about the set, what went right or wrong and then have a couple of cold ones to wind down… After packing up our mountain of gear that is.”

What does the rest of the year hold for your band? “We are touring to Melbourne, Byron Bay and performing at Peats Ridge Festival later in the year so very exciting.”
