STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW – CLICK ‘PLAY AUDIO’ TO THE LEFT

In the wake of this year’s Big Day Out it hardly mattered who you spoke to, the response was more or less the same; when it came to choosing a highlight you couldn’t go past Pnau, who rocked the Boiler Room to its foundations in every city. In fact not only were they the Boiler Room highlight for most, Pnau also managed to score a place as one of the festival’s most talked about acts overall (Rage Against the who?), with the kaleidoscopic-colours of their reinvigorated live show winning new fans en masse, all the while forcing the jaded old-skool types to fall in love with the band again.

For most it was the first chance they’d had to see Pnau performing their freshest material, with tracks like Wild Strawberries and current single Baby – lifted from their self-titled album released late in 2007 – prompting sing-alongs and frenzied dancing Australia-wide. There’s no denying that the album’s run-away success has reignited Pnau’s passion, and speaking to FasterLouder down the phone in the midst of their first headline tour since earlier this decade, Nick Littlemore’s excitement is infectious.

If you haven’t got yourself a ticket yet for Pnau’s ‘We Are Back’ tour you better hurry as shows are selling out on a daily basis! Remaining tour dates are:

Wed Apr 9th – University Of Canberra, Canberra
Thu Apr 10th – Wollongong University, Wollongong
Fri Apr 11th – The Enmore Theatre, Sydney (SOLD OUT)
Sat Apr 12th – Panthers, Newcastle
Thu Apr 17th – Pier Hotel (21st Century Nightclub), Frankston
Fri Apr 18th – Billboard Nightclub, Melbourne (SOLD OUT)
