‘A Thing Called Divine Fits’ is the debut offering from indie rockers Divine Fits, a trio that includes Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Wolf Parade/Handsome Fur’s Dan Boeckner and Sam Brown of New Bomb Turks.

A supergroup of sorts, the band is more the result of an organic coming-together of musical vision and less the product of inflated egos. Recorded in a backyard Los Angeles studio earlier this year and co-produced by Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grinderman), ‘A Thing Called Divine Fits’ is an 11-track synth-inspired garage rock masterwork that covers such topics as the death of true love, hitchhiking, cocoa butter, emotional distance and what happens when the curtain drops.

Rolling Stone sums it up nicely, touting ‘A Thing Called Divine Fits’ as “something close to an ideal garage rock record: a delectable admixture of rubbery groove, scuzz, melody, psychedelic effects, and mumbo-jumbo.” While SPIN says, "as a combination of two major-league indie rockers and a veteran shit-kicking drummer, the group is both a logical step and a hugely exciting prospect."

Don’t miss Divine Fits when they tour Australia in 2013 as part of Laneway Festival!
