In a history spanning less than 18 months, Brisbane 4-piece Millions have been unearthed by triple j, played at 2011's Splendour In The Grass festival, shared the stage with the likes of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Grates, Bluejuice, Bleeding Knees Club and completed extensive national tours alongside Gold Fields, Nantes and Northeast Party House.
Millions kicked off 2012 in fine form, with a performance at Brisbane's No Years Festival, followed by a killer set at the Gold Coast leg of the Big Day Out. The new EP ‘Nine Lives, Six Degrees’ features five tracks and was recorded at Sydney's BJB Studios, produced by Matt Lovell (Eskimo Joe) and mixed by Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, Birds Of Tokyo).
“It’s really exciting to be working with Millions and I couldn’t be happier that they are joining our local roster”, says Stop Start head Andy Bryan. “I love the songs they’ve delivered thus far, this debut EP is just a taste of what is to come. There is an aesthetic and energy about the music and it just feels like they are a band of the future both in Australia and overseas.”
