After 4 years of gigging around Sydney, the music of The Resistance could be classified under the genre of “indie”. However, punters who have experienced a resistance gig and have witnessed their evolution all agree upon the fact that there is no one defining word that could be used to describe their brand of emotion charged rock.
It is their individual style and passion that sets them apart from other bands around. Each song is crafted with its own nuances, ranging from subtle to glaring key changes to jarring guitar dynamics that leave the listener unsure of what will be coming next. Splattering across their canvas of intense sounds, one may discern the dark resonance of Muse, crooning vocal of Something For Kate, and the electric guitar sounds of The Mars Volta – riding underneath, an explosive rhythm section.
Not for the faint hearted punter, but once hooked, there is no going back.

Seems like the band owners have been pretty boring here, you should get in contact with them and find out why it's empty!
