Mesha are an unsigned 4 piece pop/rock act based in Sydney.
Mesha have been playing the Sydney pub scene for the past 3 years, in this time, mesha’s managed to knock the socks off audiences with their energetic live performances and original, tight and polished but gritty rock sound.
With catchy riffs and hooks, and thumping, punchy and tight bass and drums, Mesha want to share with everyone their love of ‘real’ Aussie rock- just 4 guys and their instruments, with no wizzbang effects, crazy loops or samples.
The past 3 years have been successful for mesha, with tours to Melbourne as well as shows in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong and the production of the bands first single “Training Day”, and accompanying video clip (which received airplay on channels 9’s “music jungle” Saturday morning music show), and has afforded mesha an excitable local fanbase, and a position on wakeboarding company, Liquid Malishas’ 2006 DVD “Immunity” soundtrack.
Without a doubt, the crowning moment for the band was having the opportunity to play at the Sydney Super Dome as apart of the Taste of Chaos Tour, in October 2005, to an audience of around 10 000 people.
Mesha are currently working on their first album, with producers Ian Pritchett (who produced the “beautiful girls” latest album), and Mick Seage, (who has produced such aussie rock greats as grinspoon and You Am I).
2008 should be a big one for mesha .
