The Government have an amazing musical repertoire of ROCKIN’, heartfelt, kick-ass songs! The line-up of The Government prove there’s no faking it here and the fine songs and music, songs such as Boy’s Job, Too Good, Definitive State, and Scientific are now ROCKIN’ more than ever!!!
Inspired by a Veruca Salt concert in Perth in the late 90’s, Jenna Hardie was compelled to buy a guitar and give life to the songs in her heart.
Sarah Norton was born to ROCK, she burns on the bass like ROCKIN’ chicks should.
Tony Chiovitti on guitar is all heart and soul with a love for stoner rock, and sometimes surf. There is no need to encourage him, he shreds like there is no tomorrow.
Chris Howe on drums is the smiling assassin whose beats hit you where it hurts so good.
Collectively this is The Government you should love!!
The Government’s music is totally original, inspired and will take you on a musical journey that you need to go on! The Government has had record crowds at their April residency at Mojos, and following their new line-up, organised several packed headline shows, supported fine bands such as Day Of The Dead, and played with fantastic artists From The Skies, Mink Mussel Creek, Jeff Strong, The Dee Dee Dums and more.
The Government have recently spent time at Studio Couch with Shaun O’Callaghan (who has worked with artists The John Butler Trio and Gyroscope) recording some special songs, their first recordings, to be unleashed on the music loving public in the near future…
