Mike Garson, pianistic artiste extrordinaire and an allround nice guy, after collaborating on three of our tracks for our upcoming album ‘Don’t Panic’ has said that gods girlfriend was ’...one of my favourite collaborations.’
Now that might not sound like much but considering that his collaborations have included such heavyweights as David Bowie, Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan, No Doubt and Nine Inch Nails among others, it would appear that this little band from the bottom of the world is in good company.
gods girlfriend started out as a recording project with a few of Kat’s and Zoltan friends from the Qld Conservatorium and music unis around Brisbane.
Since the worldwide launch of their album in October through CDBaby.com, gods girlfriend have built a strong national and international following, and getting regular airplay in the US, UK, Spain, Belarus, Switzerland, Portugal and soon Canada.
So if you like bands like Stereolab Moby and Sade, combined with modern down-time pop influences like Massive Attack, Swing Out Sister and Morcheeba, you’ll love gods girlfriend.
gods girlfriend is grooves for the masses.
