Wormholes Exist encapsulates acoustic folk,rock and electronic sounds with a strong focus on melody,harmony & lyrical narrative. Through our compositions and live performance our purpose is to take our audience on an epic journey that transcends ordinary life.
The core of the band is made up of four sydney based musicians who started the group in 2003 as ‘Venus Fly Trap’. With quite a drastic change in musical direction we became “Wormholes Exist” which we felt to be more in context with the music. The idea of the name suggests time travel,telepathy,dreams & dimensions e.t.c Films such as Donnie Darko,12 Monkeys,Brazil, and The Elegant Universe are some of the many influences that would descibe the bands sound visually.
After 6mnths in and out of the studio a self titled,self-funded debut album is complete.
