After running through a plethora of different forms, Tonight Is Like Space Invaders finally settled on a lineup in June 2007 – Alexander Dover on drums, Benjamin Helps on guitar, Abbie Jedwab on bass and Timothy Jedwab on vocals.
Since then, they have played umpteen games of pool, written a bunch of songs, eaten some sushi, smoked atleast 1000 cigarettes and played some gigs around town. Their sound is a kaleidoscopic mash of different genres but ends up sounding like hot mocha for your ears. If you don’t like mocha, it probably sounds like something else you might like. Sprite Zero or something.
But musical.
”... a killer layered sound laced with ridiculously tight melodies, guitar hooks and drum fills that would make Bloc Party blush.” – Clean Young Mess
”... the indie karate-chop you’ve been waiting for.” – The Tote
