The Vans take you through sun and rain with heart-felt music that takes the best parts of indie and brit-pop creating a sound they can call their own. Captivating live and on recording, the Vans are not be missed. Check out their debut EP “orange”.

The Vans formed in Perth around 2004 as something of a TAFE project, singer/songwriter Ryan Harris, bassist Adelle Chylek are the only original members.

Following Oasis’ lead of crafting down-to-earth, heartfelt songs in the vein of classic British bands from the 60’s The Vans have created a style of their own fuled by lively, impassioned song writing and performances.

After finishing their studies the remaining members became more serious about the bands potential. Toward the end of 2005 the Vans gained the help of Luke Juniper (Lead guitar) and Vern Campo (Drums). In April 2006 the Vans were asked to perform alongside Freya Hanley and Loren Kate during their WA tour. While in 2007 they headlined their own shows on a number of south west tours.

Their self-released EP is now in stores and can be found at 78 records Perth, Dada’s, Swell Sounds. With songs like Radioman, Away With The Stars and For You, The Vans are aming to record a full legnth album in the first half of 2008 allowing them to share their music with as many people as possible!
