The Medicated began as a recording project in 2005 when J.XaneX (Vocals, 2nd Bass and programming) and Doom Deluxe (Lead Bass) decided to try creating music that appealed to not only live rock fans but ravers and fans of electronica. J. and Ms. Deluxe, took their time to hone their songwriting skills and develop a signature sound and then began promoting themselves at street level by handing out their demos and through tireless internet pestering. This led to a sold out debut gig and saw successive shows consolidate a strong and loyal fanbase, even gaining them a feature article on fasterlouder.com.

With the addition of Dexter Ritalin (Keys, Fx) and Aurella (Vocals, Keys) The Medicated evolved into a fully fledged live outfit, capable of creating a dense wall of sound with not only the intensity of a punk or metal band with brutal dance beats, but the ability to perform slower numbers with a dark, atmospheric beauty.

With their debut e.p. finished (and over 60 songs demoed for an album) the band are now ready to begin the process of taking it to the people live and with plans to head interstate , overseas and everywhere in between with their dark take on pop,
