the laurels are a 5 piece psychedelic/shoegaze band from sydney.
first taking the stage in june 2006, the laurels juggernaut has accumulated accolades, guitar pedals and fans in approximately equal proportion.

their resume reads like a poorly punctuated list with no contactable references.

*titular track on internationally released “turn on your mind” (psilocybin sounds) and 2 tracks featured on “burn your fingers on the sun” (off the hip) compilations.

such a sorry document has nonetheless afforded the laurels solid employment on the stages of both sydney and melbourne from their very inception.

the savviest of networking has of course played an important role, (along with nice trousers), and the laurels have been lucky enough to share the stage with the likes of the lovetones, gaslight radio, cloud control, icecream hands, belles will ring and the holy soul.

the laurels have been following in the footsteps of idols my bloody valentine and have been “currently recording” their mid 2008-slated debut release for a very long time now.
