The Kidney Thieves sound just like a car-chase gunfight between a possessed gypsy and a vigilante clown, cruising the funk freeway at full throttle, leaving a trail of carnage and the faint odour of Parmesan. We’re a distinctive, genre-busting act blending rock, funk, psychedelic, classical, dance, tribal, metal and western influences.

After 18 months of consistant gigging in and around Brisbane we’re earning a growing name for our high energy live shows, and have already supported acts such as Faker, Intercooler, Little Birdy, Endorphin, The Hot Lies, Transport, Wolf & Cub, The Follow, Polyvinyl, and many more. Our first interstate tour in Feb ‘06 included 6 dates at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and our performances have been filmed for SBS’s Noise TV on several occasions.

Our music is technical, with tempo changes and complex time-signatures, yet remains accessible, fun and danceable to a broad range of musical tastes. With a penchant for stage monikers and ludicrous song titles, a propensity toward random costumes and live visualisations, and a soft spot for instrumental tracks, we aim to offer a refreshing experience. The Kidney Thieves are as unpredictable as the name suggests you can never be prepared or properly dressed for the occasion!

Our debut release, ‘Midnight Manoeuvres’ was recorded in our home studio and mixed by Yanto Browning (Kate Miller-Heidke, Technik), and is currently stocked in independent record stores in most capital cities.

Boooring……

Seems like the band owners have been pretty boring here, you should get in contact with them and find out why it's empty!
