The Kandy Apples want to share something with you,
something new, something different, something special.

Singer/guitarist Meaghan Blake starting playing the Sydney live circuit in ‘06 doing the solo thing with her original songs and electric guitar in hand. The desire to have a rock band behind her soon lead to a search for the right people to join her in forming The Kandy Apples.

The original line-up debuted in early ‘07, in times since a couple of great players have entered and left the fold, all leaving an indelible mark on The Apples and their sound. Mid ‘08 saw new drummer Damian Kukulj added to the mix, joining Meaghan and bass player/vocalist Casey just in time to enter the studio to record their debut EP, the first single from
which – ‘Stef’s Song’ was launched in fine Apples fashion in Sep ‘08 at a sold out show at the Sando which featured special guests: Brian Campeau, Heidi Elva and Emfatale & The Scary Rabbits.

The Kandy Apples were fortunate enough to have the ‘Stef’s Song’ single produced by Ian Pritchett and Gene Mitchell at Noisegate Studios. Several recent Noisegate-produced releases have garnered both critical acclaim and chart successes including the last four The Beautiful Girls albums and Angus & Julia Stone’s last album ‘A Book Like This’ which has hit platinum sales.

The Apples have built up a great local following from much gigging around the inner-west pub circuit of Sydneytown and their loyal fanbase is set to swell with several shows booked in the lead up to the release of their upcoming debut EP. The launch of which will take place at Spectrum on Sat 27th December.

Seems like the band owners have been pretty boring here, you should get in contact with them and find out why it's empty!
