The Bullet Holes are a high-energy three-piece out of Perth, Western Australia. All three members have played in numerous bands, achieving some local success, before finding their place in The Bullet Holes when they formed in mid-2005. Since then, they have been honing their sound and song-writing to achieve their goal of changing the mind-set of this world through their music.
The Bullet Holes have been gigging heavily for the past year and a half, and are getting close to having 100 gigs under their belt. Their debut EP, Lost Cause was released independently in late 2006, with the first single, Every Day receiving air-time and good responses from radio stations across the nation. The band have played alongside an impressive array of Australian artists, including Bob Evans, Birds of Tokyo, Snowman, Institut Polaire, The Dirty Secrets, Grand Central, Is This Name Taken (NSW) and Bullethead (NSW).
Amongst other successes, The Bullet Holes have taken out first place in Gozzy Rock 2006, first place in Ampfest 2006, finalists in Next Big Thing 2006, and first place in their Next Big Thing 2007 heat. They have started working with engineers Shaun O’Callaghan (Jebediah, Gyroscope, Eskimo Joe, Little Birdy) and James Newhouse (Dave Mann Collective), to produce a double A-side single set for release in September.
“The band know exactly who they want to be and how they want to sound, which will see them fall right into the laps of a very obvious potential audience.” – Mike Wafer, X-Press Magazine
