Birthed from a passion for music, we want to make music to enthral ourselves as much as others.
Started in early 2007 between primary songwriters Matt Griffith and Rodger van Raalte, ‘The Brave’ is a band full of vigor; devoid of pretense. We just want to write, make and play good music. No less; no more. If success comes knocking, we will let it in, but the joy of music is our lifeblood.
Early into the process Mikey Mann joined the group, bass duties have been taken up by Callum Galloway, and a fifth member for live shows is to be confirmed. The inimitable Caleb James holds the credits for producing our soon to be released debut EP ‘Something Coming Over Me’ (out late February).
Already we have stormed the Triple J Unearthed charts, taking out the top three chart positions on the Indie charts and have taken #7 on the overall charts. We have also done exceedingly well on other music networking sites, debuting on one particular site at #9!
Look out for us in 2008, because we’re coming through!
