Hi we are The Grove, were a 4 piece indie rock n roll outfit from brisbane. Were new on the scene only been at it for 6 months in fact. Already we have had a photo shoot wit time off magazine, and Time Off also wrote up an article on us, wich has given us a great boost off. We also have 6 shows booked already. Our debut coming up on the 4th feb at Rics bar in the valley, Brisbane. Its our first show and they have decided to let us headline wich is an amazing opportunity in itself for a debut show!!

We are all about the music! None of us set out to be rockstars! We just cant wait to get our music out there, and we hope that people will be just as passionate as we are about The Grove. We don’t set out to be the next U2, we just want to write music we enjoy! To be signed and travelling the world would be a dream. I believe that if we keep at it we have the potential to one day make our mark on the Australian music industry!

Our sound is indie/pop/rock. We have been compared to bands like, The Killers, The arctic monkeys and Wolfmother to give you an example of our sound.

We are very excited about what this new year holds for us. We just want to get on the road and rock out as many shows as we can this year!! Hopefully building a strong fan base and eventually taking us on the muso’s road to success!

The one question we want to get people asking is “Who’s The Grove???” Its like our trade mark question! No other band in the world has ever used that as a trade mark [im pretty sure ha] and we claim it! It will also be the name of our up-coming debut ep.

We believe that the garage V competion is the perfect lauch that we need to bring The Grove to the ears of the Australian music scene!
We are all commited to making this band a success, we are all passionate muso’s with a heart for writting good positive rock n roll! That builds people not brings them down.

The Garage V comp is an opportunity we could only ever dream of! If we won this comp it would be like sticking a huge canister of nos on the grove wagon! rocketing us off to what the future holds for us!

It’s so good to see comps around like this there needs to be more of them! there are way too many great bands going un-noticed these days! And comps like garage V is what Aust needs more of! Giving local bands a launch into a successfull music carrer!
