Steve Simmons is a singer/songwriter, originally from Perth on the west coast of Australia. After singing with various bands on the west coast, Steve spent some time in the USA followed by a relocation to Sydney, and 3 years with an original act that released 2 albums and various singles throughout Europe & Japan. After the act split, Steve headed south to Melbourne, where he still resides. In 2004 Steve Simmons entered the studio to record some demos for the ‘Glass’ ep. Inspired by classic guitar fuelled power pop, brit pop and sometimes a hint of something darker. A live ensemble was formed and started gigging around Melbourne, Australia as ‘Steve Simmons Band.’ Within a few months the band had already notched up some impressive live performances in some of Melbourne’s biggest and best venues (including a slot at Melbourne’s biggest festival, The St. Kilda Festival). Now, in 2008 the band is recording a full length follow up to Glass.
