Australian indie rock band SWAYING BUILDINGS emerged in 2005 after several years of 4-track recording, cassette tape albums and live gigging under various indie rock guises. The band paints a sound that blends together folk, pop and rock.
Hailing from Brisbane’s southside, the Queensland capital, the members of SWAYING BUILDINGS have a dedicated DIY ethic; a strong commitment to the pursuit of creative songwriting, recording, production and live performance.
In mid 2006, SWAYING BUILDINGS self-recorded and released its debut album "Something In My Shoes" on its label Hum & Buzz Records which caught the attention of several promoters in the United States.
In August 2006, SWAYING BUILDINGS completed a successful tour of Los Angeles, taking in famed venues such as Whiskey A Go Go and Club Derby, as well as featuring at the International Pop Overthrow Festival.
SWAYING BUILDINGS debut long-player "Something in my Shoes" is bravely visionary. If someone uploaded Neil Young’s brain into a supercomputer in his dying days, these are the tunes his circuits would be humming. The album is rich in reverb, its wall of sound softened by synthesizers, filtered vocals and dreamy chords.
2007 will see SWAYING BUILDINGS further promote its debut album through local and national shows. In between, the band will complete and release its as yet untitled second album.
Boooring……
Seems like the band owners have been pretty boring here, you should get in contact with them and find out why it's empty!
