Rising Dissent have a blend of tunes from many different heavy styles of music. We have songs with hard heavy riffs and others with more rockier feels, and vocals that vary from melodic to death. So we try to appeal to ‘open minded’ fans of heavy music, not just one particular style of stictly heavy music.
Starting our live scene in April 2006 at the Noise Bar in Brunswick and recording tracks to be aired on SBS Noise TV, the band made a great start. We really come alive on stage and put on a great show and audiences have all shown great response.
Keen to play as many gigs as we can get, we are always looking for other bands to support!
A demo cd is in the making, until then their are some other recordings that have happened along the way, but nothing we are happy enough with to put on a demo cd.
