Beer-injected Aussie rock!
If youre tired of reading bios from bands that just arent on MTV yet boast of success after success, then youre likely to love this one.
Just the facts, none of the exaggerated hype.
"Paindivision" is not into bragging : listen to the tracks and the music will speak for itself.
Formed by Australian virtuoso Stu Marshall, "Paindivision" features some of the nations most disciplined and hardest-working musicians. Marshall, a writer for Guitarist Australia magazine, is formerly of the metal band Dungeon. During Dungeons heyday, they were the go-to band for promoters seeking a world-class professional act capable of supporting international artists such as Nightwish, Angra, Destruction, Doro and Twisted Sister. Dungeon also toured the world extensively, playing shows in the USA, Europe and Japan.
After opening for Megadeth all of their Australian shows in 2005, Dungeon were invited to support the metal giants on the European leg of their Blackmail The Universe tour. It was a high point in Dungeons career, and the significance of Megadeth choosing an Australian band for this honour does not need additional elaboration.
Channelling his experience from Dungeon and a total of 20 years of guitar playing, Marshall has focussed his talents on writing strong melodies and subject matter for mainstream rock appeal. The music evokes what AC/DC might have sounded like if Angus Young had a split personality with Eddie Van Halen, and if theyd had to start in this millennium and compete with all the manufactured pop crap on the radio.
"Paindivision" live shows have the powerful, larger-than-life feel characteristic of the classic rock acts, and also helping exposure is Marshalls regular columns and gear reviews with Guitarhead.net
To complete the band, Marshall has enlisted veteran performers Jordan Howe (Ex-Harlots) Joe Rahme (drums), Shayne Reid (bass), and Ray Martens (keys). Between regular live appearances, Paindivision are recording their debut CD and even at this early stage, negotiations are in progress to release the album in Japan and Europe
