Offbeat Antics are a unique four piece from the sleepy southern suburbs of Perth – But there is nothing lethargic about this explosive band of musos.
The sound matches the name, indie rock with an inimitable alluring twist. Not afraid of a killer riff, infectious melody, smashing beat or a brooding bassline, Offbeat Antics draw from wide influences bringing elements of classic rock, stoner rock, punk rock, psychedelic rock and funk rock to indie rock stylings. An original and dynamic sound brought home with powerful 4 part vocal harmonies.
Offbeat Antics seek to constantly develop as a unit, consistently writing new material, maintaining cohesion and obsessively striving to put more and more energy into their live performances.
Offbeat Antic’s fanbase has been based upon their live show, which has been described by panels of experts as "explosive’. Through out their short 12 month career, they have played alongside the best of Perth’s local acts including Snowman, The Fault, Mink Mussel Creek and Streetlight. A release is scheduled for early 2008.
