Northwalk first started in 2005, when Jonathon Holmes, Martin Zazvonil and David O’Reilly got together at their high school to perform a Beatles tribute concert for the school. After the success of the show, they decided to continue on as a band.

After writing several original songs, they realised this was serious. After finding a new guitarist called Jonathan Sewell, the band was set. Playing several gigs made the band tighter and more comfortable. Eventually, in January 2007, they recorded their first album, called “SELFtitled”, which contained 11 original songs. This album was released in September.

Following the release, the band enjoyed many successes, including gigs at Granny Smith and headlining the Relay For Life in Blacktown. The band also enjoyed radio airplay on 2CCR 90.5 FM every monday, which was followed by a live interview and performance of “The Lights” and “Angel” in November.

In January 2008, Jonathan “mojo” Sewell quit Northwalk to pursue a career with a different band. He was quickly replaced by bass player Mitchell “Flea Jr” Ryan, known for his gifted slap bass technique, which moved David into his original spot as guitarist.

In May 2008, Northwalk began work on a new EP, and is currently in the studio recording.

With high aspirations, and conviction from the members which is rivaled by few, the band is set for success.

Boooring……

Seems like the band owners have been pretty boring here, you should get in contact with them and find out why it's empty!
