Nazarite Vow is a 5 piece alternative rock/ screamo band founded in Adelaide in late 2005. Since their formation the band has exploded onto the Adelaide music scene, making an instant name for themselves with their unique genre-blending music and high-energy live show. Contrasting the sweet sounding voice of singer Nath Casey and the raw, brutal scream of frontman and brother, Dan Casey, Nazarite Vow has created a distinctive sound of their own, which has enabled them to perform with both the alternative/rock side of the musical spectrum, yet also feature on bills containing metal/hardcore bands.
This diversity in sound has given NV the opportunity to play on some excellent stages, and with some of Australia’s best artists. Supports with I Killed The Prom Queen (RIP), Behind Crimson Eyes, Cry Murder, The Hot Lies, In fiction, The Getaway Plan (VIC), Angelas Dish (NSW), Through His Blood, Something With Numbers (NSW), Antiskeptic (VIC), Mere Theory, The Valley (NSW) and The Amity Affliction(QLD), just to name a few, has enabled the boys to play their music to a diverse audience all around Australia.
In November 2006 Nazarite Vow entered the studio to record their debut EP with renowned Adelaide engineer Darren Thompson (Thinktank, In Fiction). Having played a number of solid shows in the first 6 months of 07, the band has big plans for the release of the EP and the remainder of the year. With promising shows already secured for Adelaide in the coming months, NV plan on hitting the East Coast of Australia as regularly as possible in the second half of the year for the promotion of their debut release. Wherever you are, keep an eye on these boys, as Nazarite Vow plan on turning as many heads as possible in the months to come.
