Our songs were written initially for a rock band that Simon and I were playing in. That kind of fell apart, but we loved these songs so much that Simon reincarnated them with 80s keyboards sounds and surf guitar riffs played on his Mosrite. I’ve got around to recording vocals for most of tracks. I’m really hoping to get all the recording finished in the next couple of weeks, then there’s mixing and mastering to go.
In the meantime, 5 songs will be available on a little pre-release EP called Sweet Life. Get a CD at a gig!
Radio play will be happening soon – we’ve had enquiries from stations in Scotland, New Zealand and the UK, and within Australia from Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne… And we’ve been featuring on podcasts from all around the world over the last 12 months.
In the meantime, we’re gigging around Melbourne. I think we’ve been really lucky so far, we’ve played with The Blow Waves, CC Martini, Neon Knights, and Showcard among others, and played at our favourite venues (love ya Ding Dong!).
We’re a three piece right now, Simon on guitar, Nifty playing the keyboard parts and me singing (with fingers on my Roland JUNO01 at times).
