Man Ray were born in early 2007. Drawing on a rich tapestry of influences, all the while twisting them into their own strikingly original delivery, Man Ray have the vocal finesse of Morrisey, the guitar textures of The Chameleons, and the driving rhythm section of XTC.
Having supported bands including Mercy Arms, Lost Valentinos, Ghostwood, Cut Off Your Hands and Damn Arms still in their first year together, Man Ray are more than familiar with the stage.
“I suppose our initial intention was to make music that had a romantic, almost endearing quality” says Thom Benjamin, the bands bass player and psuedo singer “I’d like to think that we have acheived that, in one way or another”.
Man Ray have big plans.
