Justin Carter started playing guitar and song writing at the age of 16. Coming from the humble beginnings of a nylon 6 string, Carter has now created his own unique one-man band mixture of surf rock and country blues. With a harmonica strapped around his neck, guitar or lap steel in hand and toe tapping stomp box and tambo-drum under foot, his music is an explosive act.
Justin first started playing venues in his home town of Portland, Victoria and has since gained a large following all along the Victorian coast. Port Fairy, Anglesea, Geelong, Torquay and Apollo Bay (where he won the 2006 Apollo Bay Music Festival Young Songwriters competition) are some of the places frequented by Carters act. The Young Songwriters Competition is well known for recognising great new talents such as The Vasco Era, Rob Sawyer and Sophie Koh.
Being welcomed back to the Apollo Bay Music Festival main stages in 2007 Carter launched his debut album “Whatever Happened To Real Music?”. He recieved an overwhelming response to the album selling out of his first 100 copies over the festival weekend. Within a month of its release tracks from the album were played on Triple J’s “Roots & All” and ABC’s 774 program. Since then he has completed his Victorian Album Launch Tour with great success and will be taking his Launch to the East Coast and Tasmania later in the year.

Seems like the band owners have been pretty boring here, you should get in contact with them and find out why it's empty!
