Emily Smart and Fliss Freeman are the female leads of the enterprising rock-pop band Illicit Eve. Blessed with super-talented musicians, whose dexterity on their instruments provides a further string to their bow, Illicit Eve is more than your average rock group.
Since releasing their debut album in 2005 and follow up album in 2008, Illicit Eve has shared stages with Aussie icons Diesel and Richard Clapton, as well as Wolf and Cub, Rhubarb, Evermore (NZ) and Betchadupa (NZ). Other achievements include performing at the 2005 Big Day Out, S.A Finalists in the 2007 MTV Kickstart your rock career competition, and having their song ‘Revolution’ swim on Triple J’s ‘Sink or Swim’.
More recently Illicit Eve’s video clip has been featured on RAGE and Scout TV (SYD), Into The Woods was mxCitybeat Magazine’s (SYD) ‘CD of the Week’ pick, and as well as national airplay with their latest album, Illicit Eve were featured on the Triple J Unearthed program on ABC2 and were a Unearthed Spotlight and Jukebox Feature artist.
When Illicit Eve is in full flight, with its mix of powerful rock and edgy pop, the show is electric, the music adventurous and the result imaginative. Illicit Eve is a versatile and energetic live act who command your attention.
Illicit Eve embark on their inaugural international tour through the UK and Ireland in June 2009, finishing off with a performance at the Rock of Ages Festival in Wales.
