Daina Demillo is reminiscent of vintage sounds, phonographs, spy and heist films, orchestral soundtracks, martinis and cigars, cocktail lounges, smoky red-lit underground bars, classic mustangs and jags, valve microphones and nostalgia.
Songs written and performed with previous project CDD have been featured in TV ads for Video Hits/Toyota Yaris and Nestle “Soother’s”. Songs have also received airplay on Triple J and FBI radio.
Highlights include supporting George Clinton (Parliament/Funkadelic) at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre and Melbourne’s Queensbridge Hotel, and “Mercedes Benz Fashion Week” closing party.
Performances in Sydney include The Civic Hotel, Candy’s Apartment, Home Nightclub, Hugo’s Lounge and in Melbourne, the Ding Dong Lounge.
