Australia's premier music festival rolled into the Gold Coast on Sunday January 22. Featuring Iggy and the Stooges, the White Stripes, Franz Ferdinand and dozens of other bands, the day threw up highlights came thick and fast for 50,000 eager punters.

Searing heat, suffocating crowds, ridiculously long toilet queues, horrendous sunburn - yes, I'm talking about the Big Day Out. And I'd do it all again in a second!

If you haven't been to a big music festival, let alone a Big Day Out then there's little words can actually do to describe the experience, its one of those things that just have to be experienced to be believed.
