New Empire’s gig at The Factory Theatre was an event not to be missed. The atmosphere in the room was an odd mix between frantic excitement and calm and New Empire bought everything and more to this set.

Strangely, there’s not been a lot of popular demand for surrealist, smart-arse pop or eight-minute bare-knuckle folk tales about rural mailmen. There is, however, a loyal crowd of people waiting for just such songs in the Factory Theatre.
