Coming to a close, The Getaway Plan play their last show for the Shadows tour in Perth.
Returning to town with a fresh and critically acclaimed album and a whole heap of new fans to boot, it was no surprise door-sale punters were being turned away before the doors had even opened.
It is so much more rewarding to go to an awesome gig when you were tempted not to leave the house. This was one of those nights.
While house music rarely gets a mention, kudos must be given to whomever chose a bit of Barry Manilow as the first track played after the show, as people slowly realised what they were hearing, everyone joined in a spirited sing-along as they made their way out the doors, looking for all the world like exuberant lads whose football team had just won.
