It is in New Found Glory's best interest to convince you that their "Punk-Pop's Not Dead" slogan is the truth. They are after all a punk pop band so their careers rely on it.

While the lofty ticket price may have turned off some of Elbow’s more casual fans, the devoted hundreds who milled into the Thebbie’s stalls could not have been disappointed.

Despite a stage dressed to resemble a hessian forest, with a roughly hewn canopy of sacks encircling and overhanging the action, there was little trace of the desolate wilderness that defined For Emma, Forever Ago on show tonight.
