The Pogues gave a performance that emphasized their roots, a love of their fans, and the underlying punk-energy that still drives the band, even in their older age. Playing two encores, and giving the crowd a set of over two hours.

While there are few artists of the same age that still tour, there are significantly less that do it with the professionalism and energy that Crosby, Stills and Nash harness, defying their age. Their performance at the Hordern Pavilion reaffirmed the fest

Whether or not you sit in the Vai, Lukather or Satriani camp, or even somewhere blasphemously in-between, the simple fact is that a truly talented gathering of this magnitude is a rarity.
