Supremely influential, vengefully nerdy, so completely ironic that it hurt, DEVO rolled into town on a Splendour bender and entertained a mob of forty-somethings and a smattering of younger rubberneckers come to see what all the fuss was about.
As the line for Metro City extended up to a block and a half away from the venue on a Thursday night, you knew something exciting was about to take place. *Powderfinger* brought their _Upstairs at the Downstairs_ Tour over to Perth for an intimate show for the people who have come to expect nothing but the best.
Apart from the accessibility problems which are unavoidable at multi-venue events and the unfortunate alcohol restrictions, crowds everywhere were loving everything and everyone and there’s no doubt We Love Sounds will be back next year.
Limited release of tickets to Armin van Buuren's sold out Perth show at Metro City, Perth - Friday 13 June 2008 will go on sale Friday after scalper's tickets were canceled.
