Overcranked began in 2001 as a small indoor festival at a pub, with 2 stages, 18 bands and 400 attendees. Fast forward to 2006, Overcranked drew 2,500 punters with 40 bands performing over 4 stages. 

2007 is set to be the biggest and loudest Overcranked to date. This is mainly due to the MASSIVE lineup that has been secured.  Headlining the Metalfest are Forefathers of the post-hardcore/punk genre – HELMET, whose music paved the way for hundreds of artists, from the Deftones to Silverchair.
