Australia’s crusiest music festival, Festival of the Sun returns with another stellar line up in 2006.
The first round of artists boasts Augie March, The Beautiful Girls, Faker, Mia Dyson, Blue King Brown, The Fumes, Kid Confucius, The Gin Club, Dirty Lucy, Gabriel’s Day, Blues Bombers, Waiter, 4pm Project, Lady Bird and Shane Fritsch.
Held over two glorious summer days, Fotsun will include all the best elements of last year including a unique and varied line up, those magical views Sarah Blasko commented about, the wonderful laid-back vibe… and it’s still BYO.
In addition to the great line up of bands, another highlight of the weekend is the airing of the incredibly talented SunScreen video clip finalists. SunScreen is a national competition uncovering Australia’s most innovative music video clip makers, with heats running from August to November 2006.
You can watch the clip for Urthboy’s song No Rider from last years winners Broken Yellow here on FasterLouder, and for more information on SunScreen visit http://www.fotsun.com/wb/pages/sunscreen.php
Festival of the Sun tickets go on sale on 18th September and will be available here on FasterLouder.
