Coaster Festival is nationally recognized as the beginning of the summer festival season in Australia. It has been an event since 2008, when it was created with the purpose of giving the central coast a solid day of musical acts. The next year, it grew dramatically to include major Australian and international acts; since then, it has only gotten bigger. Coaster takes place every Saturday in September at the Godford Showgrounds in Gosford. (Approx. 76 km from Sydney and 91 km from Newcastle.) Coaster Festival is put together by the team at Select Music.
